Oh Hi Guys

I am a professional skipper and marine worker, who has been in the industry for over 20 years. The passion didn’t start there however! I started sailing when I was very young and got hooked straight away.

Having learnt to sail at Henley Sailing Club in various dinghies, I then competed around the country in inter-club matches and in particular the Salcombe Yacht Club Regatta, racing my National 12, since the late 90’s. I just want to be near the water all of the time, whether on a yacht, paddleboard or wake board.

In 2005, the day after my 21st birthday (maybe a slight error) I started work at Val Wyatt Marine, and stayed with them for 8 years. Here I picked up most of my maintenance and people skills before joining the Super Yacht scene in 2013. Being part of the deck crew on various sailing yachts, I got to work on and improve my customer service with some high end clients.

Bringing this wealth of knowledge back with me on a trans-Atlantic voyage, I decided to go out on my own as a freelance skipper, delivering various yachts up and down the coast, also having the chance to Captain a vessel out of the idyllic harbour of Salcombe in South Devon, which started the venture…

Red Beard Yachting.
